Apple TV Subscribers – Here’s How to Activate Free F1 TV Premium

Start your engines! Apple TV subscribers can now link their accounts to get free access to F1 TV Premium.

Here’s how to set everything up.

The first step is to make sure you have a subscription with Apple TV.

$12.99/mo.

Next, you need to create an account with F1. Sign up with this link.

Once you’re signed in with F1, it’s time to link the accounts. Head here and hit the Activate button. Follow the prompts to log in with your Apple ID (not your F1 account info). In my case, this required using my iPhone to scan a QR code.

Now the accounts are linked, but you still need to download the F1 TV app on your TV or streaming device. Unlike MLS, you can’t access F1 races within the Apple TV app itself.

Open the F1 TV app and sign in – again, I chose to do so with the QR code and my phone.

That’s it! Enjoy the races!

What Can You Watch on F1 TV?

Obviously the big draw of F1 TV is live coverage of the races in 4K UHD! The 2026 season begins in Bahrain with Aramco pre-season testing from Feb. 11-13. Official racing begins with the Australian Grand Prix in early March.

During the races, F1 TV has some pretty amazing features:

  • Personalized Multiview feature on select devices with your choice from 24 feeds
  • Get a Team Principals view with up to 4 Live feeds on Multiview
  • Pick from 20 live onboard cameras at any time
  • Listen in to live unedited radio from all the teams
  • Predict strategy with live tire usage data
  • Stay up to speed and track every car in real time with live driver maps

You also get live access to F2, F3, F1 Academy and Porsche Supercup.

But while you wait between races, you can also use F1 TV to see:

  • 1,000+ hours of archival races
  • Replays and highlights of every 2025 track session
  • Exclusive timing, sector-by-sector
  • Exclusive shows and documentaries

You can watch F1 TV on up to 6 devices at once.

And if you want to watch the movie “F1” with Brad Pitt, hop over to your Apple TV app and watch it there.
