Mountain West Conference Fans Will Have to Pay to Stream 21 Sports on Upgraded App
Mountain West fans have been able to use the MW App for free, but the ride ends this summer. Starting in July, an upgraded MW App will provide coverage of any Mountain West sport that doesn’t get picked up on national linear TV. That means all 21 Conference-sponsored sports are eligible.
The MW App will introduce two pricing tiers (monthly and annual). Subscribers will gain access to:
- Over 1,000 live regularโseason and postseason events annually
- On-demand fullโgame replays
- Media day broadcasts
- Video podcasts and original programming
- Game highlights, features, and more
The app will be available on:
- Roku
- Amazon Fire TV
- Apple TV
- Google Play
- Android TV
- Additional platforms to be announced
Also noteworthy, the MW App will join more than 130 streaming services available through a subscription on Prime Video.
In addition to the MW App, each school in the Mountain West will have the opportunity to add its schoolโs games on its own website, viewable by consumers who have a valid subscription to the MW App.

News of the app overhaul comes on the heels of new rights agreements with CBS Sports and FOX Sports for six years (2026โ27 through 2031โ32), with CW Network committed to a five-year partnership through the 2030โ31 season.
