MLB.TV Subscribers Can Get 1 Month of ESPN Unlimited Free, Must Cancel to Avoid Ongoing Charges
If you use MLB.TV to track your favorite out-of-market team, things are going to be a little different for annual subscribers.
Standalone MLB.TV is $149.99/year. It includes one month of ESPN Unlimited free. If you con’t cancel the ESPN Unlimited part, you’ll pay another $29.99/month.
If you already subscribe to ESPN Unlimited or if you get it as part of your live TV provider, you’ll get a 10% discount on the out-of-market annual plan (that makes it $134.99).
If you renewed an old MLB.TV annual plan, you won’t get the automatic ESPN trial.
You’ll still be able to pay for MLB.TV monthly at $29.99.

One unknown: whether you’ll be still be able to sign up to MLB.TV through Prime Video. The old link to MLB.TV in Prime Video isn’t working, but Prime Video has been a reliable amplifier for any streaming service.

Change-Up Hitters
This season is bringing other changes for baseball fans.
New: MLB+
For the first time, you can get a standalone subscription to MLB Network. This includes live audio for all 30 teams with no blackouts. It includes live MiLB games andย “MLB Big Inning.” It costs $5.99/month or $59.99/year.

New: FanDuel Sports No Longer in Play

New: Netflix Gets Games
Netflix will host one game on Opening Night each year of the deal. In 2026, that game is Yankees-Giants on Wednesday, March 25.
Netflix will also be the new home of the Home Run Derby.
And Netflix gets one “special event game” each year. In 2026, that will be the Field of Dreams game on Aug. 13 (Twins vs. Phillies).
New: NBC/Peacock/NBCSN Adds Coverage
NBC takes Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts away from ESPN. Some games will appear on Peacock and the newly revived NBC Sports Network when there’s a scheduling conflict with other sports on NBC.
Peacock is also home to the Sunday Leadoff game – a slate of 18 games that begin around noon.
Peacock also gets a “game of the day,” which will be available to fans outside the markets of the clubs competing.
NBC will also air the Wild Card Series and some special event games, including primetime matchups on Opening Day and Labor Day.
The MLB Draft moves to the Saturday of All-Star Week. NBC and Peacock have exclusive rights to the first hour of the event. The rest of the draft will appear on Peacock/NBCSN and MLB Network.
NBC and Peacock also get the Futures Game,with top players in Minor League Baseball on All-Star Sunday. That game will be followed by a new event on Peacock featuring former players and celebrities.

Steady as She Goes
FOX/FS1 will continue to host the All-Star Game and regular season games, as well as the World Series, League Championship Series and Division Series. You can also stream those games on FOX One.
