Budget Live TV Streamer Philo Rolls Out New $25 Plan
One of the least expensive TV providers is offering more flexibility. Philo is introducing a new $25 plan called Essential.
Your options with Philo are now:
- Free (120+ channels)
- Essential (70+ key channels plus the free ones, $25/mo.)
- Bundle+ (Adds everything above but includes free AMC+, HBO Max, and Discovery+, $33/mo.)
$25/mo.
Previously, Philo’s only paid plan was $33/month. But since the service added HBO Max, Discovery+, and AMC+, some viewers may have been paying for services they didn’t want. This new lineup allows you to choose whether you want the on-demand services or not.

Missing 59 of the 100 most-watched channels |
For most TV fans, Philo’s missing channels are a dealbreaker. But if you’re the kind of person who enjoys relaxing television without the high price of live event channels, it may be worth your while. Now that users can control whether or not they get the AMC+, Discovery+, and HBO Max bundle, that means more choice and more flexibility. That’s a win in our book.
