Who we are
StreamingSmarter.com is a journalist-powered website designed to help people stream more live TV, movies, shows, and sports for less money.
- Ben Bowman (Founder): Ben began covering the streaming media ecosystem in 2020. This Emmy Award-winning journalist previously led teams at NBC Chicago, Curiosity.com, and Softonic.
- Peter Gardner (News Editor): Peter remembers back when he had to insert a DVD to stream Netflix on his PS3 and he still jealously guards his Blu-Ray collection. His sci-fi credentials stretch back to bylines on CountingDown.net and old “Star Wars” sites like Tosche Station.
- JJ Piazza (Sports Writer): JJ is Streaming Smarter’s go-to sports expert. He’s been part of the same fantasy football league for 12 years. JJ previously wrote for AM 570 LA Sports.
- Tracy Mills (Deal Editor): Tracy’s background as an English teacher and extreme couponer come in handy as she scopes the best deals in streaming. When she’s not writing about streaming, she’s road-tripping with her kids or studying Italian with Duolingo.
