FanDuel Sports Network to Sell NBA and NHL Single-Game Access for $6.99
Only want to watch one game of your favorite basketball or hockey team? FanDuel Sports Network can help you out. Starting December 5, fans will be able to pay for single games instead of an entire month of access.
FanDuel says the single-game option will start at $6.99, suggesting that marquee matchups or playoff-factoring games may cost more. FanDuel’s monthly access usually costs $19.99, though you can sometimes get promo pricing or annual discounts for longer memberships.

The 2025 Shrinking TV Trend
As fewer viewers are signing up for monthlong TV subscriptions or bloated channel packages, 2025 has seen a wave of smaller offerings.
DIRECTV now offers several small channel bundles at smaller prices. They call them “genre packs” and they start at $19.99/month for the MyKids package. The $34.99 MyEntertainment package and $69.99 MySports are attempts to offer a better price point against competitors like YouTube TV that only offer one channel lineup.
Fubo just launched its smaller package called Fubo Sports, which isn’t widely available and doesn’t include NBC. But at $55.99, it’s far more attractive than its other TV bundles.
Not to be outdone, Sling TV began offering the first multichannel single-day subscription for $4.99. You can also choose a weekend pass or just a single week. This move shocked Sling’s partners and Disney is suing the company over them.
Against this backdrop, many TV stations are going direct-to-consumer. There’s FOX One for Fox News Channel, FOX, FS1, Big Ten Network, and more. ESPN Unlimited is the first way to get linear ESPN without a full TV bundle. Even Great American Family has GFam+ to sidestep larger TV packages. We’re going to get standalone apps for CNN and TNT Sports.
It’s as if all the TV providers have recognized they may not be able to monetize the audience for a full year or even a full month, but they’re willing to take whatever revenue they can get, however they can get it.
