All 9 FanDuel Sports Network MLB Teams Terminate Their Contracts
The FanDuel Sports Network story is unraveling so fast, news broke just as we published our last article about it. The Athletic reports all 9 MLB teams broadcast on FanDuel Sports Network have terminated their contracts.
The teams cutting loose are: Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Rays.

While those teams could return to FanDuel under new agreements, MLB’s commissioner Rob Manfred says the league is prepared to step in as a broadcast partner, just as they did when the Padres left FanDuel’s predecessor, Bally Sports Network.
โOur focus, particularly given the point in the calendar, is to maximize the revenue thatโs available to the clubs, whether thatโs MLB Media or third party,โย Manfred told the Associated Press. โThe clubs have control over the timing. They can make a decision to move to MLB Media because of the contractual status now. I think that whatโs happening right now clubs are evaluating their alternatives. Obviously, theyโve made significant payroll commitments already and theyโre evaluating the alternatives to find the best revenue source for the year and the best outlet in terms of providing quality broadcasts to their fans.โ
FanDuel’s parent company, Main Street Sports, missed a payment to the Marlins today, per The Miami Herald. The company missed its December payment to the St. Louis Cardinals.
