Brewers, Reds, and Royals to Stay with FanDuel Sports Network

FanDuel Sports Network appears to be succeeding where its predecessors failed. Despite a fractured regional streaming landscape, FanDuel is keeping its partners happy and growing the audience. Because of that, the Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati Reds, and Kansas City Royals are extending their partnership with the broadcaster.

FanDuel says their 9 partner MLB clubs averaged 1.5 million nightly viewers on the platform. More than 900,000 unique fans tuned in through the network’s app. Total FanDuel streaming was up nearly 70% year-over-year.

While there are plenty of successful regional sports operations, FanDuel is unique because it has embraced the widest distribution. They were the first (and only) regional sports streamer to partner with Prime Video, making the service an easy add-on purchase and reducing the friction for streamers. They’re also available through Fubo’s new channel store.

FanDuel is also available on DIRECTV and Fubo.

Another innovation is FanDuel’s upcoming single-game access plans, where fans can watch a single game without paying for a month-long subscription.

And a small sample of games will be available on free streaming platforms and via antenna.

FanDuel Is focused on finding fans wherever they watch and trusting the revenue will follow.

Contrast that to something like Monumental Sports Network, which now only has its standalone streaming service and DIRECTV, and it’s clear to see why FanDuel’s partners are enjoying the streamer’s reach.
