DIRECTV Adding MeTV Toons for Retro Animation

If you love old-school animation, DIRECTV is about to add a great channel right up your alley. MeTV Toons offers 24/7 classics like “The Flintstones,” “Scooby-Doo,” “The Woody Woodpecker Show,” and “Inspector Gadget.”

The exact launch date hasn’t been announced, but an eagle-eyed Reddit user spotted the addition in the channel lineup. As of publication of this article, it is not listed on DIRECTV’s website.

In all likelihood, MeTV Toons will appear on the same tiers as its parent channel: MeTV. That means it would be on Choice ($105.98), Ultimate ($135.98), or Premiere ($180.98).

There are far cheaper ways to watch the channel – you can grab Philo ($28) or Frndly TV ($8.99). Another option is simply to fire up your antenna and watch it over the air.

Since Warner Bros. Discovery appears to be turning its back on Cartoon Network, MeTV Toons has become an invaluable resource for animation fans who can’t find the shows anywhere else on TV.
