ESPN Streamer and Fox One Bundle Will Be $39.99/Month

The two new direct-to-consumer streaming services launching August 21 — ESPN Unlimited and Fox One — will be available as a bundle for $39.99/month. The bundle won’t be available until October 2, however.

The ESPN Unlimited app normally costs $29.99, while Fox One is $19.99/month, so you’d save $10 on the bundle.

The ESPN DTC offering will give fans access to all of ESPNโ€™s linear networks โ€“ ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, ACCN, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes โ€“ in addition to ESPN on ABC, ESPN+, SECN+, and ACCNX, covering 47,000 live events each year, on-demand replays, studio shows, original programming, as well as newly expanded NFL content and more. The NFL Network will be part of the service, and users will be able to add on NFL+ Premium, which includes NFL RedZone.

Fox One will offer FOX News Channel, FOX Business, FOX Weather, FOX Sports, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, FOX Deportes, FOX Local Stations and the FOX Network as well as the option to bundle FOX Nation and B1G+ within one platform.

The ‘Venu Lite’ Bundle

You may recall that last year, Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery planned to launch a mega-streamer called Venu Sports. It was going to have the sports-associated linear channels operated by those companies: ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNEWS, Fox, FS1, FS2, ACC Network, SEC Network, Big Ten Network, TNT, TBS, and truTV.

Venu was going to offer all the sports provided by those companiesโ€™ linear channels, including MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL and WNBA, MLS, NWSL, and U.S. and international menโ€™s and womenโ€™s soccer coverage. There was also NCAA football, NCAA menโ€™s and womenโ€™s basketball, motor sports including NASCAR and Formula 1 events, Grand Slam tennis, golf, boxing, and MMA. Users would also see all three of horse racingโ€™s Triple Crown events, cycling, the Premiere Lacrosse League, and coverage of Major League Rugby.

But… Fubo successfully sued those three companies, saying they were colluding to offer their channels at a discount while mulit-channel providers like Fubo who wanted ESPN were forced to buy channels they didn’t want, like Freeform. On August 16, 2024, a judge’s preliminary injunction froze Venu Sports from moving forward.

Almost immediately, Disney decided to buy Fubo to get them out of their hair, so Hulu + Live TV and Fubo will merge at the end of this year or the beginning of 2026.

As a result, the Hulu app will go away and Hulu’s content will fold into Disney+.

We’ve previously been old that Fubo and Hulu + Live TV would continue as separate entities, but Disney’s announcement of hte end of the Hulu app brings that into question.

Warner Bros. Discovery: The Odd Man Out

The one Venu partner not included in this deal is Warner Bros. Discovery. The company, which will split itself in two, lost its NBA rights to NBC and Peacock, so the remaining sports rights don’t matter much.

The company will still have some NHL, March Madness, MLB, U.S. Men’s and Women’s Soccer, NASCAR, and the French Open, but that’s about it.

Venu was going to cost $42.99, so Disney and Fox didn’t think Warner Bros. Discovery’s portfolio was worth that much, and that was before they lost the NBA.

What Sports Are Missing from the ESPN-FOX One Bundle?
