ESPN Streaming App Can Be Bundled with NFL+ Premium and NFL RedZone

Today, we learned the ESPN direct-to-consumer streaming app will be available August 21. Because ESPN bought NFL Network yesterday, that will be included. But today we learned there will be an option to bundle ESPN with NFL+ Premium, which includes NFL RedZone.

In today’s earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger said, “ESPN will also gain the ability to sell and bundle NFL+ Premium, which includes NFL RedZone to ESPN DTC subscribers, along with rights to additional nonexclusive preseason NFL games for its DTC offering, both starting in the 2025 season.

While we don’t know the price for this bundle or when it may launch, this is great news if you have an antenna. With an antenna, you can get all the games on NBC, CBS, and FOX. You could choose to watch any ABC Monday Night Football games with your antenna or the new ESPN Unlimited app. The ESPN app will also have NFL Network. If you want RedZone, the bundle will take care of that.

If you connect your antenna to a HDHomeRun and connect it to your computer with Plex Pass, you can stream and record any game you can access over-the-air for free.

Our Pick

Channel Master FLATenna

Use this great indoor antenna to pick up free HD and digital signals with a 35-mile range. Watch ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, and more for free forever!

I estimate the ESPN-NFL+ Premium bundle will probably cost $39.99/month. But for antenna users, it solves a headache that previously required a full live TV package.

At the end of the day, antenna users would be able to watch every NFL game with a combination of over-the-air signals, this bundle, and Prime Video.
