Fox Strikes Long-Term Agreement to Keep Channels on YouTube TV
The annual game of chicken is over. YouTube TV and Fox have come to an agreement to continue their relationship. Just 3 days ago, Fox threatened to pull its stations off YouTube TV if the two sides couldn’t come up with a new deal. As almost always happens, the spitting match ended before any football went missing.
This carriage dispute was a bit different than what we’ve seen in the past because Fox recently launched FOX One, a standalone streaming service that has every channel that nearly went dark on YouTube TV.
$19.99
While we’ll never know the terms of the deal, it’s likely YouTube TV agreed to pay more for Fox’s family of channels. As usually happens in the aftermath of these deals, you can expect your YouTube TV bill to go up sometime in the next six months.
