NBA Releases Details on First NBC and Peacock Games
We’re getting our first glimpse into how the NBA schedule looks for NBC and Peacock. Today, the league released a handful of games from its 2025-26 schedule.
On opening night – Thursday, Oct. 21 – Peacock and NBC share a pair of games. The Houston Rockets face the reigning champion Oklahoma City Thunder (7:30 p.m. ET) while a pair of aging rivals do battle when the Golden State Warriors face the Los Angeles Lakers (10 p.m. ET). Fun note: This will be the 57th time LeBron James has played Steph Curry.
On Monday, Oct. 27, Peacock has two exclusive games: Cavaliers vs. Pistons (7:00 p.m. ET) and Nuggets vs. Timberwolves (9:30 p.m. ET).
We also learned Peacock will have 4 Martin Luther King Jr. Day games: Bucks vs. Hawks (1:00 p.m. ET), Thunder vs. Cavs (2:30 pm. ET) Mavericks vs. Knicks (5:00 p.m. ET), and Celtics vs. Pistons (8:00 p.m. ET). NBC will simulcast all of those games besides Bucks-Hawks.

How Many Games Will NBC and Peacock Get Each Season?
NBCย and its streaming partnerย Peacockย can distribute up to 100 NBA regular-season games per season.
NBC will air more than half of those games Sunday and Tuesday nights. On Tuesday nights, the Eastern and Central time zones get one game, Pacific and Mountain time zones get the other game.
Peacock will get a Monday night doubleheader each week. It will also host both Tuesday night NBC games.
NBC will become the home of NBA All-Star Weekend, including Rising Stars, All-Star Saturday Night (Slam Dunk, 3-Point Contest, and Skills Challenge), and the All-Star Game.
NBA Playoffs on NBC and Peacock
NBC/Peacock will get approximately 28 games in the first two rounds of the playoffs. At least half will be on NBC.
NBC gets one of the two Conference Finals in 6 of the 11 years, alternating with Prime Video.

Who Will Be the NBA on NBC/Peacock On-Air Talent?
Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller will join NBC Sports coverage as game analysts, Carmelo Anthony comes aboard as a studio analyst, and Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle will be the play-by-play voices.
