After nearly 4 years of hibernation, NBC Sports Network comes back to life today. YouTube TV is the exclusive streaming provider for now, but more live TV providers will follow. The channel includes nearly all the sports previously exclusive to Peacock.

• Golf Majors (includes select coverage of U.S. Open and The Open Championship)
• Cycling (Tour de France, Tour de France Femmes; Vuelta a España, and more)
• Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks undercard races
• Olympic Sports (e.g., Figure Skating, Ski & Snowboard, Gymnastics, Swimming, Track & Field)

When Will NBC Sports Network Be Available on Other Services?

The decision will hinge on the carriage agreements NBCUniversal has with other providers. DIRECTV seems like the natural next choice, while the company may choose to play hardball with its rival Disney (owners of Hulu + Live TV and Fubo). It seems unlikely Sling TV will carry the channel, considering NBC itself is only available in 11 markets.

What If My Provider Doesn’t Carry NBC Sports Network?

The simple solution is to sign up for Peacock. You’ll get all the NBC Sports Network events, along with a good library of movies, sitcoms, and original programs.

Will NBC Sports Network Be Available With an Antenna?

No. The company won’t give the channel away for free because it mirrors Peacock so closely. You will be able to stream traditional NBC with an antenna as long as you’re within the broadcast area. NBC itself will host sports like NBA games on Sunday and Tuesday.
