NFL Sunday Ticket to Have Month-by-Month Option for $85

If you want to watch out-of-market NFL games, NFL Sunday Ticket is your only option. But it’s expensive. New users can get it for 8 payments of $34.50 ($276), while returning users need to pay 8 payments of $47.25 ($378) when paired with YouTube TV or 8 payments of $60 ($480) as a standalone option.

In case you don’t need the full season, Sunday Ticket will have an option for a one-month subscription. At the time of publication of this article, that option is not yet available. YouTube announced the change in its official blog.

NFL Sunday Ticket Month-by-Month Options

New Users$85/month
Returning YouTube TV Users$115/month
Standalone YouTube Users$145/month

Deadline also reports the service is phasing in local-national combinations in YouTubeโ€™s Multiview feature, so you can watch multiple games at once. A range of creators are hosting livestreams tied to major events in and beyond the sports world.

Should You Sign Up for NFL Sunday Ticket?

Honestly, I don’t think Sunday Ticket is a good deal. If you have to see every play of your favorite out-of-market team, it’s really your only bet. But it’s far too expensive.

My preferred way to watch Sunday football is NFL RedZone, which gives you 7 hours of live highlights as able host Scott Hanson takes you back and forth across all the action. You don’t have to sit through time-outs or injuries or replays. It speeds up the game tremendously and it’s awesome if you have a fantasy football team.

Remember that Sunday Ticket won’t help you if your team plays on Thursday night, Sunday night, Monday night, or in one of the Sunday morning international games.

I suppose some people will take advantage of this monthly option, but you’re probably better off taking that $85 and hitting a sports bar that shows all the games. Spend that money on wings and beer.
