Paramount+ Launching Multiview for UEFA Soccer and More
Paramount+ is about to make sports more fun. Starting Sept. 16, subscribers will be able to access multiview to watch several UEFA soccer games at once.
Paramount says it’s โactively evolving the experienceโ to feature more multiview entertainment and news content options in the coming months.
$7.99/mo.
When the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League kicks off, all matches will stream live on Paramount+. With the multiview feature, fans can watch up to 4 matches at once, choosing which audio stream to access. The company says users can build a โcustom matchday experienceโ for UEFA soccer.
Other providers to offer multiview include DIRECTV, YouTube TV, and Fubo.
A New Day on the Mountain
Paramount+ is in the midst of a renaissance with new ownership. Thanks to new CEO David Ellison, the streaming service made a splash with a huge acquisition of UFC rights. Unlike previous UFC partner ESPN, Paramount+ will offer all UFC fights as part of their normal subscription price – no pay-per-view needed.
Ellison reiterated how he wants to spin up investment in Paramount’s properties, cranking out a “greater volume” of movies and TV shows. Paramount’s new bosses say they’ll be focusing on franchises like “Top Gun” and “Star Trek.” We don’t know how much money will be thrown at the company’s decaying linear channels like MTV and Comedy Central, but Paramount leaders say they want to preserve the channels instead of leaving them for dead like Warner Bros. Discovery and NBCUniversal.
