Peacock and Apple TV to Launch Bundle for $14.99+

We’re about to get another way to save on streaming. Peacock and Apple TV are launching a bundle on Oct. 20. It will cost $14.99 for the bundle with ads on Peacock and $19.99 for the ad-free version. That’s a discount of 30% off the standalone cost. (Apple TV is $12.99, Peacock Premium is $10.99 and Peacock Premium Plus is $16.99.)

$16.99/mo.

If you’re an Apple One subscriber, you could also choose a 35% discount on Peacock Premium Plus. That’s the first discount for a non-Apple service the company has offered.

As part of the deal, both services will offer up to 3 episodes of the other service’s shows for non-subscribers. So Apple TV subscribers can get a taste of “Bel-Air” or “Twisted Metal” while Peacock users might see a few episodes of “Slow Horses.”

Is This Bundle a Good Deal?

Most bundles are usually worth it if you like the content on each platform. While I love Apple TV’s shows, they have been slow to arrive, so adding a boatload of content from Peacock helps make a more well-rounded entertainment package. Peacock has a nice lineup of sports, including lots of NBA starting this season, so that makes it more attractive.

This deal should appeal to adults who want some compelling dramas, feel-good sitcoms, and sports.

As a dad, I don’t see the value here for my kids. Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+, and PBS Kids are still the leaders for little ones.

While I enjoy Apple TV, it’s one of those services you can drop when your favorite show is on hiatus, then resume and binge everything for a month. Peacock may be more essential during the NBA season, but there’s still not a show they have that I think is worth paying for.

Still, any bundle is a good thing these days, and we welcome the discount, especially after both services raised their prices this year.
