Peacock Now Available as a Prime Video Channel, Has a 7-Day Free Trial
One of the last major video streamers not on Amazon is finally on Prime Video. Peacock is now available. And even better, you can get a 7-day free trial. Peacock hasn’t offered a free trial for years. Prime Video itself has a 30-day free trial.

Prime Video doesn’t offer every tier of Peacock. It only has the ad-free Premium Plus tier. If you want the ad-supported Premium version or the scaled back Peacock Select, you still need to go to Peacock’s site and get it as a standalone service.
Subscribers to Premium Plus via Prime Video will have access to their live, local NBC channel.
Prime Video also recently added Fox One to its lineup of add-on channels. Because you can watch live CBS with a Paramount+ subscription on Prime Video, that leaves ABC as the only major broadcast network you can’t stream through Amazon.
This move means nearly every major on-demand streamer is available through Prime Video. Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu are the glaring exceptions.
We’ve seen Amazon act as a significant driver of on-demand subscriptions. Analytics firm Antenna reports Prime Video is responsible for 58% of all sign-ups for niche streaming services. Prime Video now offers 130+ possible add-on subscriptions. Customers love getting just one bill and having access to all their content in one interface. The ability to get free trials on nearly all these services is also a big plus.
What Can You Watch on Peacock?
Sports on Peacock
Starting in October, Peacock will have NBA games. NBC and Peacock will split up to 100 regular-season NBA games and you’ll be able to see them all with the Prime Video add-on.
Peacock is home to English Premier League soccer, Sunday Night Football, and WWE events including WrestleMania. There’s also Big Ten men’s and women’s basketball, golf, SuperMotocross, figure skating, IndyCar, Notre Dame Hockey, track & field, IMSA, and snow sports.
Peacock really shines during the Olympics when you can access the whiparound coverage of Gold Zone.
Users in Boston, Philadelphia, Northern California, and the Bay Area have the option of adding their local regional sports network to Peacock for an additional fee. I’ve reached out to Peacock to see if this option will be available through Prime Video.
Peacock Originals
Its most popular shows are “The Traitors,” “Bel-Air,” “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” “Hart to Heart,” and “Love Island.” As with most streamers, Peacock’s original shows tend to get canceled after the first season.
Peacock produces 3-7 original feature films every year.
Movies on Peacock
The Peacock movie library changes over time, but it usually carries films from Universal. At the time of this review, the movies include the Harry Potter series, “Bring It On,” “RIPD,” “”M3GAN,” “Clueless,” “Grease,” “The Shawshank Redemption,” “Jurassic World Dominion,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “Field of Dreams,” “Scarface,” “Argo,” “Nope,” “The Black Phone,” “School of Rock,” “Footloose,” “Good Will Hunting,” “Office Space,” and “Mean Girls.”
TV Shows on Peacock
Peacock has many of your favorite shows from NBC and Bravo.
Popular titles include “Yellowstone,” “Suits,” “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” “Psych,” “The Voice,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “St. Denis Medical,” “Community,” “Modern Family,” Dick Wolf’s “Chicago” series, “Law & Order,” “Law & Order: SVU,” “House,” “30 Rock,” and “Downton Abbey.”
Peacock has virtual channels dedicated to shows like “Murder, She Wrote,” “Gunsmoke,” “Little House on the Prairie,” “Top Chef,” “Below Deck,” and “Saturday Night Live.”
Kids’ Content on Peacock
Peacock has a hit-or-miss kids library with TV titles like “Bubble’s Hotel,” “Look Kool,” “Dino Pops,” “Bob the Builder,” “Ninjago,” “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse,” “Too Loud,” “The Magic Schoolbus,” and “Garfield and Friends.”
The movie section is more promising with animation favorites like “Madagascar,” “Kung Fu Panda,” “Despicable Me,” “The Lego Movie,” “The Bad Guys,” “The Croods,” and “Trolls.”
Overall, Peacock isn’t a great service for kids. There’s some nice stuff, but your children will likely grow tired of it quickly.

The Amazon add-on means you can watch your live, local NBC affiliate. Beyond that, there are dozens of “virtual” channels you can watch. Here’s the list:
