Peacock Offers Free Sample Episodes of 7 Apple TV Series

As part of its new bundle option, Peacock now has free episodes of 7 Apple TV series. Best of all, you don’t need a paid Peacock plan to watch them.

$16.99/mo.

What Free Apple TV Series Are Available?

Apple TV shows on Peacock

When you’re logged into your Peacock account, you’ll have access to 3 episodes of each of these series:

  • Stick
  • Prehistoric Planet
  • Palm Royale
  • Slow Horses
  • Foundation
  • The Buccaneers
  • Silo

Peacock doesn’t advertise this, but it does technically have a free tier. If you’ve ever had a Peacock account in the past, you can still log in and access limited content. That does include the Apple TV sample library. My old login still works and I’m able to watch the shows.

Another option is to sign up for a free trial of Pecock through Prime Video.

Interestingly, this partnership doesn’t work both ways. Apple TV doesn’t currently have any free Peacock content.

What’s Up With the Peacock-Apple TV Bundle?

Last week, the two streamers announced they were joining forces for a discounted bundle. The package isย $14.99ย for the version with ads on Peacock andย $19.99ย for the ad-free version.

Thatโ€™s a discount ofย 30%ย off the standalone cost. (Apple TV is $12.99, Peacock Premium is $10.99 and Peacock Premium Plus is $16.99.)

Bundles have proven to be overwhelmingly popular with consumers and they help reduce “churn” as people are less likely to drop or swap packages than individual services. In the case of HBO Max for example, the service has roughly 25% more subscribers one year after it launched its bundle with Disney+ and Hulu.
