Prime Video Will Have Multiview and Betting View for NBA Games

One of the big changes for basketball fans this year is that Prime Video will be the home to 67 NBA games this season. And fans will be able to watch these games in new ways. All games will be available in native 1080p High Dynamic Range (HDR) video and 5.1 surround sound.

Customizable Multiview

Viewers who subscribe to Prime Video and NBA League Pass can simultaneously watch a combination of NBA on Prime and NBA League Pass games across a majority of devices, including smartphones and smart TVs. Remember, NBA League Pass gives you every out-of-market game for the entire league.

Unlike most multiview providers, Prime Video lets you select a primary game for a larger window while keeping tabs on other NBA matchups in smaller windows.

Bet Tracking and Odds View

When a fan links their Prime Video profile to their FanDuel account, their active NBA bets will be displayed and updated on the screen. Gamblers will see their progress and won/lost status, so they can sweat through every possession.

Fans cannot place bets within the Prime Video platform, however.

Users on some devices will be able to access an “Odds View” – that gives a rotating feed of live odds, lines, and probabilities associated with popular bets. This includes moneylines, spreads, totals, player props, parlays, game props, and more. The overlay adds context to the game and highlights how players and teams are performing relative to betting markets.

If you don’t want to bet, there will still be access to real-time stat updates in a separate view.

Key Moments and Rapid Recap

Joining a game late or just want to see the best moments? Prime Video will provide a quick recap of highlights to get you up to speed in less than 2 minutes. Key Moments allows you to go back and see the best highlights of the games on-demand.

Many of these features are similar to what Peacock announced it will have for its streaming games this season.
