Report: YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV May Drop Monumental Sports
With the NBA and NHL seasons nearly here, sports fans in the Washington, D.C. area could have a harder time watching their teams. Axios reports YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV do not intend to renew their distribution deals for Monumental Sports Network.
“We think that’s hugely anti-competitive and frankly discriminatory against our local network and candidly โ discriminatory against our local sports fans,” said Zachary Leonsis, President of Media & New Enterprises for Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
Monumental launched a website to rally its viewers to lobby YouTube TV and Hulu + Live TV to keep the channel: KeepMonumentalSports.com.
If these providers dump Monumental, you would have two remaining ways to stream: DIRECTV and Monumental+.
DIRECTV offers Monumental starting with its Choice package. New subscribers can get $25 off their first month and $10 off their first 24 months. That brings the first month cost to $68.98.
$68.98/mo.+
DIRECTV offers more regional sports networks than any other provider. Only Fubo comes close.
Monumental+ is $19.99/month or $199.99/year.
Subscribers to Monumental+ can watch the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics, Capital City Go-Go, and Wizards District Gaming.

$19.99/mo.
