Save 11% on Hulu, Disney+, ESPN and/or HBO Max With This Sneaky Payment Hack
At Streaming Smarter, we’re always looking for ways to spend less on our entertainment bill. We do our best to list all the best deals, but sales come and go. The most consistent way to save on a streaming service is simply by changing the way you pay for it.
Right now, you can get over 11% off a gift card to Hulu through GCX (the Gift Card Exchange). I just grabbed a $50 gift card for $44.32, then logged into my Hulu account and applied the gift card number. So now Hulu will deduct from the gift card before it reverts to my credit card payment.

Just make sure you’re applying the gift card in the Hulu portal.
How to Apply a Hulu Gift Card
On the desktop site, go to the upper right corner where you see your name. Hover over that and click Account on the dropdown menu.
In the lower left part of the Account page, you’ll see a field for Gift or Promotional Code. Simply paste the number you get through GCX and Hulu will deduct from that payment source first.
That’s all you need to do! GCX also has discounted gift cards for Netflix, Paramount+, Disney+, SHOWTIME (can be used on Paramount+), Sling TV, and Fandango at Home. So just grab discounts on anything you normally watch or enjoy a discount on something new!
I will note that the available discount and number of gift cards varies throughout the year. You’ll usually get your best deals when people try to unload unwanted Christmas gifts. For whatever reason, you’ll see more Hulu gift cards than Disney+ gift cards.
