Sling TV Launches ‘Select’ Channel Package for $19.99
Following a trend started by DIRECTV earlier this year, Sling TV is now offering a skinnier channel bundle at a lower price. “Sling Select” is $19.99/month and includes an eclectic mix of channels including Fox News, National Geographic, GRIT, NFL Network, FX, FS1, and MeTV.

In some markets, the package will include ABC, NBC, and FOX. Users who get two of those channels will pay another $5/month. If you get all three, it’s $10/month.
Importantly, you can add Sling’s other add-on packages for more channels if you like.

How Can Sling TV Users Watch CBS?
No matter which Sling package you may choose, CBS is not included. If you’d like to watch it, CBS is included with Paramount+ Premium. The service typically offers a 7-day free trial.

If you have an antenna lying around, you can use it to watch CBS for free as long as you can access the signal from your local affiliate. I’ve attached my antenna to a HD Homerun so I can stream dozens of channels on all my devices at no additional cost.
Should You Sign Up for Sling Select?
The channel lineup doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. If you’re interested in Fox News Channel, you may prefer Fox One that launches later this week.
For sports fans, the Sling Orange or Blue packages are better options. But something like DIRECTV offers far more channels.
I like the $19.99 price, but I think you’re overpaying for what you get.
