What Is MLB.TV?
MLB.TV is the league’s out-of-market solution. You’ll be able to watch as many as 90 games every week, as long as they’re not your local team playing at home. It normally costs $29.99/month and you can add it to Sling if you wish.

Is Sling TV a Good Choice for MLB Games?
Short answer? It depends.
Sling can get you important baseball channels like ESPN, FS1, TBS, MLB Network, and MLB Strike Zone. That’s great.
And if you live in 7 specific markets, you’ll have access to your local NBC and FOX stations.
If you live elsewhere, it’s a little trickier. Your service is cheaper if you don’t have access to the locals, so you could put that money toward Peacock for NBC and/or FOX One for FOX.

The best thing about Sling is its flexibility. If you craft the right channel lineup, you can pay far less than you would with other providers.
Right now, only Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and DIRECTV have access to all “Big 4” networks nationwide.
I’ve used Sling and I like it quite a bit. It was my go-to NFL solution in 2024. Some folks may prefer to pay more to get a giant channel package, but I like Sling’s innovative smaller bundles. After all, we usually end up paying a lot for TV we don’t watch. I appreciate that Sling is trying to find a way around that.
And a few free days of MLB.TV can’t hurt!
