YouTube TV Subscribers to Get Free ESPN Unlimited, Smaller Bundle Options

As part of the deal between YouTube TV and Disney, YouTube TV subscribers will get free ESPN Unlimited at no added cost. But it may take a while for the service to become available. Before the end of 2026, some of that extra ESPN content will be available within the YouTube TV interface.

Right now, subscribers to Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, and DIRECTV plans with ESPN get access to ESPN Unlimited. When the login comes to YouTube TV subscribers, that leaves Sling TV as the only ESPN provider without that perk. Considering Disney is suing Sling TV over its short-term passes, you shouldn’t expect ESPN Unlimited to be available for Sling subscribers anytime soon.

According to Disney’s news release, there are two other developments in the works:

  • Select Disney networks will be included in various genre-specific YouTube TV channel packages
  • The Disney+, Hulu Bundle may be offered through various YouTube TV packages

This is huge breakthrough for fans who are frustrated with YouTube TV’s one-size-fits-all approach. The service has too many worthless channels and you’re forced to pay for all of them.

One of the key reasons I recommend DIRECTV is the wide variety of channel packages it offers. Sling TV offers fewer channels than DIRECTV, but your ability to purchase a skinny channel bundle is really appealing.

Considering YouTube TV climbed from $35 in 2017 to $83 today, users are in need of some serious price relief. These upcoming packages should deliver that.
