YouTube TV Will Offer Sports Plan and 10+ Other Subscription Packages in 2026
One of the things that’s held me back from recommending YouTube TV is the fact that it only has one channel bundle. But starting in 2026, you’ll be able to choose from more than 10 subscription options.
The company announced today that one of the options will be a Sports Plan.
Sports Plan will offer fans access to all the major broadcasters as well as sports networks like FS1, NBC Sports Network, all of the ESPN networks, as well as ESPN Unlimited. Subscribers can include add-ons like NFL Sunday Ticket and RedZone, and keep all fan-favorite features, including unlimited DVR, multiview, key plays, and fantasy view.

Based on today’s post, their channel bundles may look a lot like those offered by DIRECTV.
While the per-channel cost of a smaller bundle is higher than the giant channel lineups, you’re also less likely to pay for channels you may not want, and that’s a win for consumers. YouTube TV did not announce prices on these smaller bundles.
What Other Live TV Providers Offer Smaller Bundles?
Sling TV is the pioneer of this kind of strategy. It offers two main channel lineups (Orange and Blue) to meet different needs. There’s also a much smaller bundle called Sling Select. You can scale up or down with add-on groups to make a package that’s right for you. Sling also branched out this year with shorter subscription times, so you can choose to sign up for one day, one weekend, or one week.

My favorite bundle provider right now is DIRECTV. From the ultra-cheap MyKids package to clever bundles like MySports and MyEntertainment, you can find a strong lineup for almost any budget. The abillity to add a strong lineup of regional sports networks also makes this an option few others can match.

Fubo is kind of a mess right now. They don’t have access to the NBC channels and the team seems preoccupied with trying to run their service as well as Hulu + Live TV (Hulu’s owner (Disney) bought a controlling share of Fubo earlier this year, but they’re letting Fubo’s team run the show.)
For the channels you get, Fubo’s cheapest plan is still not a great deal, and you should choose Sling or DIRECTV for better channels and better value. But they are trying with a cheaper package, so I guess that counts for something.

$55.99/mo.
When YouTube TV adds their smaller packages, that will leave Hulu + Live TV as the only major live provider without smaller bundles.
