Prime Video Adds SNY to Complete New York Regional Sports Coverage

While it’s more confusing than ever to stream your local MLB, NHL, or NBA team, Prime Video is making things a lot simpler for New York-area fans. You can now stream the Mets on SNY with an added subscription on Prime Video.

After previously locking down the Gotham Sports App for the Yankees, Nets, Knicks, Rangers, Islanders, Devils, and Sabres, Prime Video now becomes a one-stop shop for sports fans in the country’s #1 market.

Prime Video also carries Marquee Sports Network for Cubs games in the Chicago area.

The service is $24.99, but if you’re willing to sign up for a full year, you cut the price in half.

What Can You Watch on SNY?

Fans can watch Mets regular-season games, along with SportsNite and Baseball Night in NY programming throughout the season.

Who Can Watch SNY?

The subscription is limited to New York State, Connecticut, New Jersey, and northeastern Pennsylvania.

What If You Want to Watch the Mets Outside That Area?

If you live outside the Mets broadcast area, you’ll need MLB.TV to watch any games that don’t air on national TV. This year, MLB.TV comes with one free month of ESPN Unlimited. Just be sure to cancel that before your month is over or you’ll be charged an additional $29.99.

Although Prime Video lost the ability to add MLB.TV in the offseason, this SNY deal shows the service is working behind the scenes to become something of a regional sports provider marketplace. With so many teams’ rights in flux, that’s easier said than done.
